Due to a 150% rent increase demand by The DiMarco Group we are no longer able to serve the community.
The fiscal impact of this on the local economy is summarized by the following losses:
- 2 salaried jobs.
- 13 $8/hr. - $10/hr. jobs.
- $200,000.00 in payroll.
- $3,200 - $5,000 of monthly tax revenue for New York State.
- $12,000 - $15,000 of annual revenue for utilities.
- $1,000 - $2,500 of annual revenue for insurance companies.
- $130,000 - $180,000 of annual revenue for food supply companies.
As many of you know, Leo's Pizza was run by two young entrepreneurs, Michael and Zachary Barry, trying to make a living in this difficult economy and pay for their education.
Their livelihoods and dreams were destroyed by the greed of Mr. John DiMarco II.
As it turns out, Mr. John DiMarco II has made numerous contributions to Congressman Reed's campaign.
Knowing this, we encourage each of you contact Congressman Reed and:
- Remind him of his recent statement that "young entrepreneurs must be encouraged rather than discouraged"
be it by government or greedy developer/landlords.
- Request that he return these contributions back to Mr. John DiMarco II
as we have attempted to speak with the Congressman to no avail.
